Cook County: Down Payment Assistance Program

The Cook County Down Payment Assistance program was first launched in June 2024 to help homebuyers looking to purchase within Cook County, Illinois, with down payments, closing costs, or interest rate buydowns, providing subsidies of 5% of the loan amount, up to $25,000. The assistance is provided as a forgivable second loan with a five-year term.

Hoosier Homes: Homebuyer Assistance Program

Indiana

Hoosier Homes, sponsored by the Fort Wayne Housing Authority, is the ultimate homebuyer assistance program that offers down payment assistance as well as affordable mortgage loan products. The assistance is provided as a forgivable second loan with a seven-year term and is designed to support a wide range of individuals or families seeking to buy a home in approved areas of Indiana. Hoosier Homes Plus is now available in certain areas of the state.
