    No worries! We are always adding programs and products that vary in credit score requirements. If the Cook County Down Payment Assistance Program won't be a good fit for you at this time, you will be presented with other programs that you're eligible for on Club 720, including our Accountability Coaching Program, which is designed to prepare you to purchase a home through this program. We also encourage you to take advantage of all that Club 720 has to offer: free credit building courses, money management training, coaching and more to help prepare you for your home buying goals. Remember, it might be a "not now", but it's never a "no." You can do this!

    The income limit requirement is based on the borrower, regardless of household size.
  • How can I access homebuyer education?
    Homebuyer education is required for all first-time homebuyers, defined as a borrower who has not owned a home in the last three years from the closing date. First-time homebuyers must attend a nationally accredited virtual or in-person homebuyer education course through a HUD, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac approved housing counseling agency. The homebuyer's receipt of a homebuyer education counseling Certificate of Completion is a condition for the loan closing. For convenience, you can find homebuyer education courses in the Trainings space in your Club 720 account. Access our trainings through the app or desktop.
  • What if I'm already working with a lender?
    Great question! If you're already working with a lender and would like to use the Cook County Down Payment Assistance Program, you'll need to verify that your lender is approved to offer the program. Check out our list of approved lenders for the program here. If you find that your lender is not approved to offer the program, you can direct them to this page to sign up OR you may decide to work with one of our lending partners. Depending on your lending journey, the process to get connected with one of our lending partners can be quick and easy and Club 720 will take care of that for you.
  • Who is qualified to be an eligible borrower?
    Borrowers must meet minimum credit score and income requirements, which vary by community. The Cook County Down Payment Assistance Program uses the Club 720® mobile app to provide borrowers with almost instant results on initial eligibility. This is by no means an approval, but it does mean you’ll soon be connected with a participating, trusted lender partner.
  • How long does it take to check my eligibility?
    Good question! After submitting your homebuyer eligibility form, you'll be presented with the programs you are eligible for instantly! From there, you can select which program you'd like to move forward with so that we can connect you with a Club 720 lending partner who offers that program. Getting connected with a Club 720 lending parter can take up to two business days.

    Currently, Club 720® does not offer this feature. To check your eligibility, you'll need to download the free mobile app.

  • What if I’m already working with a lender?
    If you're already working with a lender, that's great! However, switching to our preferred lending partners can give you incredible benefits like down payment assistance, car loans, and credit builder programs. These offerings are designed to help you reach your goal faster and with less hassle. You’ll need to switch lenders in order to utilize the programs offered by our partners. We want to make sure you have all the information to make the best decision for your wealth building journey.
  • What’s an organization code?
    An organization code is a unique identifier associated with a Club 720® Preferred Program Partner who likely referred you to our app. Our team can then use that organization code to learn which partner is invested in your success and ensure you’re connected with them once you’re ready to find funding.
  • Does Club 720® offer homebuyer education (if required by my lender)?
    Yes! Look no further, the homebuyer education course we offer is provided by Fannie Mae and is the perfect course to take to receive your required homebuyer education certificate. Chat us if you’d like this course added to your training.
  • What does it mean to ‘Set a Goal’ and how do I do that?
    Setting a goal means to simply choose one of the 5 ways to build wealth: Buy a Home, Fix/Renovate a Home, Start/Expand a Business, Buy a Car, or Get Job Training. Once you choose a wealth building goal, you’ll fill out the Eligibility Form that follows to create your action plan and get connected to funding tools.
  • What does “Find Funding for my Future” actually mean?
    It’s catchy right? Finding funding for your future simply means getting access to financial assistance tools like down payment assistance, car loans, credit builder loans, etc. to help you reach your wealth building goals.
  • What if I’m not eligible for anything offered through Club 720®?
    Listen. It’s never a ‘no’ but rather ‘not yet’. Club 720® believes everyone can build wealth and live their very best life. If maybe your credit isn’t where you’d like it to be, that’s okay! We can help you improve your credit health (for free, that’s right, no weird credit specialist bull).     Club 720® serves as a co-administrator for various government-sponsored down payment assistance programs.
